Stem cells and regenerative technology is becoming increasingly important in the problem of male and female hair loss. Although standard hair transplant is the primary method as of this writing for restoration of hair loss at our clinic. Some of you may be interested in enrolling in clinical trials in our other clinics of the network. Soon the cellular based medicine, stem cell and tissue engineering will dominate the field and is quickly changing.

There are currently ongoing studies for both enhancing the take of transplanted hair and neo follicular growth of hair (bio engineered follicles).

Some of these studies are utilizing the growth of hair follicles in the laboratory and others by injection of stromal vascular fraction into the scalp.
